Week 9: Thing 23: Final Thoughts

  • What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?
My favorite discoveries were the feature advancements of the webtools I had already used in the past. The most interesting part of this journey was the ability to see the creative individuality of each library/librarian's use of the webtools. My favorite exercise was podcasting because it challenged me to learn how to use Apple's Garageband.
  • How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?
It has provided me with some new tools to assist me in my travels.
  • Were there any take-a-ways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
It was hard to believe I would gain a renewed excitement for these tools. Never would I have dreamed I would have been able to/motivated to make a Google Site to support my 7th grade library orientation program. My side-tracks are my unexpected outcomes.
  • What could we do differently to improve upon this program?s format or concept?
This self-directed, guided learning complements my learning style. I would not change the format. If I would have had difficulties I would have had someone to turn to address concerns.
  • If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you choose to participate?
Absolutely!
  • How would you describe your learning experience in ONE WORD or in ONE SENTENCE, so we could use your words to promote CSLA learning activities
Motivational
